I was referred by our Optometrist from Union Eyes in Warrenville/IBEW Local 701.  Stated that Dr. Grassi was very competent and that I would be well taken care of.  The staff at Dr. Grassi's office called in about an hour of being notified of my needs.  An appointment was set for the following day.  I attended that appointment today and was very impressed.  I was taken through each of the initial steps by the same staff member.  She ensured I fully understood what my condition was.  That was then verified by a nurse, but no additional clarification was needed because all of my questions were answered, all with care and empathy. When Dr. Gassi came in for his part he was warm, friendly and interested to hear any remaining concerns.  Then he got down to his exam. Looking, and looking, and looking more.  Calling out details to be documented by my same sweet and competent staff member.  After the exam I was told I was very fortunate that my Optometrist was doing a great job and recognized very small details.  I will only require additional check as long as there is no change. Dr. Grassi's staff fit us in the next day after seeing the ophthalmologist. The whole team was wonderful--so patient, kind, and reassuring while explaining everything thoroughly.
